3 takeaways from Seton Hall's victory against Missouri
By John Makuch
Seton Hall Basketball picked up a major win for the rest of their season, taking down the Missouri Tigers 93-87 in Kansas City, Missouri. The Pirates now advance to 7-4 ahead of conference play after some rough matchups once the games got tougher, but this win shows they are ready to compete in the Big East.
The Tigers proved to be a tough opponent, but the Pirates just came out and played their best game of the season out in the Midwest against a tough SEC opponent. While they were unable to truly shut the door until the very end of the game, this still goes down as a W in the column and gives them their best win of this young season.
The Pirates have UConn on the schedule next at the Prudential Center for their toughest game of the season, but this was a good game to battle test them beforehand. This was a big shift as well given the fairly close win to Monmouth, and a humbling loss to their rival Rutgers. A win was absolutely necessary for Seton Hall though, as a 6-5 record heading into Big East play would have been disastrous for this team.
The Pirates had to play like they desperately wanted to win this game, and given their effort for most of this game, they played like it. There are still concerns though, and this was not a perfect game by any stretch of the imagination, so what are the takeaways from this Seton Hall victory?
