1. UConn's total domiance is a great sign

This team has just been absolutely dominant over their success in Big East play, the loss to Seton Hall and some close games after that seemed to light a fire under them, and now it is all coming together. This is a team that only beat Xavier by five, and they followed that game up with a double-digit defeat of Georgetown, and now this performance against a ranked opponent in Creighton.

When you can dominate such a strong conference like the Big East, you have to be doing something right, and with all the chaos that has gone on with much of the top ten throughout the past few weeks, these Huskies have been a stalwart and earned that top spot. Given their next few games, it seems they can keep this up as well, they do not take on a currently ranked opponent again until February 17 against Marquette. UConn is in a good position to coast to a regular season Big East title with their main competition being a surprising Seton Hall Pirates team.

This dominance leads to expectations, but given that this team just won it all, there is no issue with expectations and a Hurley squad like this. Depth has shown up through adversity, and now they are seeing what is on the other side of it. The Huskies just continue to win, and not just by skating up which is exactly what a team like this is supposed to do. A win like this is the standard for UConn basketball, and now they just have to keep playing the way they know how.
