Mississippi State is showing everyone they are not a team to be messed with. The Bulldogs put together a solid comeback against LSU in their first game in the second round of the SEC Tournament. Then they came out in the quarterfinals and upset one-seed Tennessee and it was not even close. They beat the Volunteers by almost 20 points.

After ending the regular season on a four-game losing streak, The Bulldogs slipped in Bracketology and even was in the situation of "win and in" in the SEC Tournament. however, what would have happened if they lost? Well, luckily they don't even have to worry about that because they did win and they have continued to win.

The Bulldogs dominated Tennessee in the paint and played a suffocating defense forcing the Volunteers to shoot just 30.6 percent from the floor and 24.2 percent from beyond the arc.

When it comes to the NCAA Tournament, Mississippi State's defense could end up being more than teams expect. Also with the lower seed, fans may not be apt to pick them which could hurt them because this is a team that could easily make it to the Sweet Sixteen.
