Zyon Pullin (Florida)

Florida made major moves in the offseason, and we could easily have highlighted fellow transfer Walter Clayton Jr. here, but we’re looking closely at the impact that Pullin has made in his lone season with the Gators. He spent four seasons at UC Riverside before deciding to transfer and has had quite the impact in the SEC.

A valuable scorer in the Big West, Pullin has adjusted nicely to the power conference level, averaging 15.7 points and 5.0 assists per game this season. He’s been among the top scorers and ball distributors in the conference all year and has been a consistent piece for Todd Golden and these Gators.

Pullin’s season-high is just a 23-point outing against Kentucky but he makes his presence known all over the court. He’s not a great free throw shooter but has made 45% of his 3-pointers, including 15 of 27 in the Gators’ final three games of the season. In fact, Pullin had 19 points just a week ago in a win over Alabama.

Florida was a few games back of that pack of teams at the top of the league but are joke as the 6-seed in this league. The Gators will be in the NCAA Tournament field and will lean heavily on Pullin’s leadership and veteran experience. He’s not about to drop 35 on Kentucky or Tennessee but he’ll make his presence felt in Nashville.
