Wade Taylor IV (Texas A&M)

Last season Taylor helped lead the Aggies to the SEC Tournament finals after a 2nd place finish in the conference. Now a junior, Taylor is still impacting this Texas A&M program, though it’s not been the same type of success for a team just .500 in league play.

Regardless, Taylor has put up some incredible numbers, averaging 18.0 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. He’s been paired nicely in the Aggies backcourt with Tyrece Radford, though Taylor stood out as the leading scorer for this program.

Taylor dropped 35 points in a tough loss to Florida Atlantic way back in November and added 34 against Houston just a couple weeks later. He’s had prolific performances in SEC play as well, most notably scored 41 against Arkansas a few days after putting up 31 in a win over Kentucky.

Texas A&M did win their final three games to grab the 7-seed in the SEC Tournament, getting themselves back into serious bubble consideration. We’ve just seen that Taylor can have serious scoring outbursts and he might need one or more of those types of performances to send the Aggies back to the Big Dance. Can he get the job done for an Aggies team playing better ball in March?
