Key Players

While there are plenty of talented players in the ACC, we’re focusing on just a special few who can really impact the games in this tournament.

RJ Davis – North Carolina

Year four in Chapel Hill has been the best of Davis’s career, with him recently taking home ACC Player of the Year honors. The 6’0 guard from New York has been vital to the Tar Heels’ success in recent years and is averaging 21.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game this season. He’s the cog that makes a potent North Carolina offense go while also contributing well on the other side for the league’s top-seed.

Kyle Filipowski – Duke

A Blue Chip prospect who decided to stay in college beyond his first year, Filipowski is a sophomore center that’s had a great impact for Duke yet again, averaging 16.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He last year’s ACC Tournament MVP and is the predominant frontcourt weapon for a talented Blue Devils team that honestly has several players to watch. He’ll hope for better results after dropping 23 in a loss against North Carolina in their regular season finale.

PJ Hall – Clemson

A 6’10 forward who’s spent his entire career at Clemson, Hall’s senior year has seen him take another step forward, averaging 18.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He’s become a leader in a prominent season for the Tigers. Hall has boasted numerous standout performances, like 25 points in an upset win at North Carolina last month. He’s the reason the Tigers are the sleeper outside of the Top 4 in this tournament.

Blake Hinson – Pittsburgh

It’s been a long road, but Hinson has really showed his potential in these last two seasons with the Panthers. A former Ole Miss guard, he redshirted a couple of seasons at Iowa State and has really blossomed with the Panthers, averaging 18.8 points and 4.6 rebounds this season as a senior. He’s had a litany of great performance including a 41-point outing against Louisville just a few weeks ago.
