4. Miami Hurricanes - 12-4 (3-2)
The Hurricanes are coming off an impressive road win over Virginia Tech this past weekend, thanks to 21 points from FSU transfer, Matthew Cleveland. But the bigger story regarding this team is the previous game, losing to Louisville at home in a shocking upset.
The good news is that Miami has a good enough resume to remain in the at-large picture for now. But after losing to them and Wake Forest, they’ve shown to be very vulnerable in the ACC right now. They take on a surging Florida State team at home, followed by a trip to New York to take on Syracuse.
3. Wake Forest Demon Deacons - 12-4 (4-1)
Ever since Gonzaga transfer Efton Reid became eligible, Wake Forest has become mostly a new team. They had won nine straight games before a five-point road loss to Florida State. They bounced back with a convincing 66-47 win over Virginia, led by 21 points and nine rebounds from Hunter Sallis.
A big ACC battle with NC State on the road comes up, an important game for both Bracketology and standings implications. After that is Louisville, a team that has played better of late and could be a quiet threat to pull off an upset.
