Another college basketball season has come and gone and it left quite an impression. This sport almost endlessly delivers with storylines, memorable moments, and other happenings, and a lot of the action comes off the court. We all saw UConn cut down the nets after a smashing run to a repeat title, but recent days and weeks have been dominated by other type of news.

Not only has the Transfer Portal been hyperactive recently, but the coaching carousel really picked up at the beginning of April. While teams are still putting together their rosters for this upcoming season, most coaching vacancies in the nation have been filled. As a result, we’re going to be looking at the current state of coaching in several conferences, and things certainly look different in the ACC.

The dominating ACC headline in recent weeks was NC State’s crazy run to the ACC Tournament and subsequent March to the Final Four as one of the Tournament’s 11-seeds. Regardless, the Wolfpack find themselves in the same position as the other teams in this league, solidifying their staff and rosters for the coming years. There have been several changes in the conference’s coaching ranks, but an even bigger change is on the horizon.

This is the first type of ACC Basketball rankings that considers the league’s new members, as Cal, Stanford, and SMU join the conference this upcoming season. As a result, there are now 18 teams in the ACC. With all that we’ve seen from these schools and these coaches, we’ll be making our best effort to rank those head coaches as they currently stand. Some are brand new while some have been in place for many years; which will stand out in this new-look conference?
