2. Hunter Sallis - Wake Forest Demon Deacons

2023-24 Averages: 18 PTS, 4.1 REB, 2.5 AST, 48.7 FG%

After deciding to run it back one more season at Wake Forest, Hunter Sallis is primed for a huge year alongside a solid supporting cast for the Demon Deacons. Sallis can score all over the floor with great athleticism and quickness leading to high-flying dunks and active plays on the defensive end. The former First-Team All-ACC guard remains one of the most underrated players nationally and I would not be surprised if he winds up winning Player-of-the-Year in the ACC when the awards are handed out in March.

1. RJ Davis - North Carolina Tar Heels

2023-24 Averages: 21.2 PTS, 3.6 REB, 3.5 AST

Heavy is the head that wears the crown. A no-brainer as the league's best returner, Davis enters 24-'25 as the reigning ACC Player-of-the-Year and consensus All-American as UNC's top scoring option for a team that will lean heavily on his experience in hopes to return to the Final Four. What Davis may lack in size at 6'0 180 lbs., he makes up for with his tenacity and limitless ways to score. With each passing year, Davis has improved his craftiness as a scorer. His shot creation is one of a kind in the college game with how quickly he can get to spots to knock down 3's.

Basketball fans should be grateful for another season of watching Davis terrorize opposing teams much like he did during his record-setting 42-point performance against Miami in late February.
