ACC Basketball: Virginia rise, Florida State and Clemson falls in latest power ranking

13. Boston College Eagles - 13-8 (4-6)

The Eagles are starting to play some of its best basketball of late, winning its last two games. The first one was a 61-58 win over Notre Dame on the road to complete of season sweep. Devin McGlockton had a game-high 15 points and six rebounds, while four others have at least nine points as well.

The most recent game was an 80-75 victory over Syracuse, a result that could prove fatal for the Orange. Claudell Harris Jr. led the way with 19 points off the bench, while both McGlockton and Jaeden Zackery had 15 points. Quinten Post finished one point shy of a double-double as well.

Before that stretch, Boston College had lost 5 of the last 7 games. Considering that they had an All-ACC caliber player in Post returning, the hope was that they’d be more competitive in league play. Instead, they’ve not shown much more outside of beating the bottom teams.

We’ll see if BC can keep the positive momentum going this week. Florida State is up next, reeling after the loss to Louisville, followed by a matchup with Duke on the road this week. With two more games against Louisville on the schedule, the Eagles have the chance to rack up wins.
