The 2023-24 season has completed and for ACC Basketball, it was another successful postseason. Of the five teams that made the NCAA Tournament, four of them made the Sweet 16, and three to the Elite 8. NC State's second straight upset over Duke in March capped their Cinderella run to the Final Four to represent the league.

Now that it's the offseason, we're in for a new era in the ACC. Three programs are joining the league for the 2024-25 campaign, including Cal and Stanford from the Pac-12 and SMU from the AAC. Where do these teams currently stand in the league? Here's a closer look at the conference in the heart of the offseason.

18. Stanford Cardinal

2023-24 season record: 14-18 (8-12 Pac-12)

After eight years of failing to make the NCAA Tournament, Stanford parted ways with head coach Jerod Haase. His replacement is another Pac-12 coach in Kyle Smith, one of the better natural developers in the sport. The problem is that he's going to have to work with a nearly whole new roster.

Both Jones (Michael and Spencer) graduated, while Brandon Angel, Kanaan Carlyle, and Andrej Stojakovic all transferred out. The one player who did return was Maxime Raynaud, who led the team with 15.5 ppg and 9.6 rpg. He'll be one of the best big men in the ACC but they'll need more than him to be competitive.

The Cardinal have six more roster spots to fill, including four other projected starters. It won't be easy due to the high academic standards the school has but in order to find a roster good enough to win in the ACC, new coach Smith will have to find a way.
