14. La Salle Explorers - 11-11 (2-7)

One compliment I can give about Atlantic 10 Basketball is that outside of Saint Louis, everyone else has been legitimately competitive. Even a team like La Salle, who has had close games with Dayton, Rhode Island, and St. Joe’s. They do have a recent road win at GW, 80-70.

Khalil Brantley and Jhamir Brickus combined for 39 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists, while Tunde Vahlberg Fasasi had a season-high 19 points. He combined for 3/17 shooting in the next two games and that’s been the concern, with the team needing a third option to win games. Their next opponents are Saint Louis at home and Richmond, with the next battle determining who is truly in the basement.

13. Davidson Wildcats - 12-9 (3-6)

Before the 13-point road loss to Loyola-Chicago, Davidson has been in plenty of close calls, including overtime defeats to Richmond and GW. They’ve dealt with injuries but the offense has been one of the worst in the A-10, needing Grant Huffman to do just about everything to keep them in games.

The good news is the Wildcats have shown they can win on the road, having wins over Saint Louis and Fordham. We’ll see if they can get another victory at Duquesne this week, followed by a matchup with George Mason at home.
