12. Rhode Island Rams - 10-12 (4-5)

It was an awesome start for the Rams, going 3-0 in league play with wins over St. Joe’s and UMass. But they’ve lost 5 of the last 6 games, including a double-digit home defeat to Duquesne. One bright spot has been newly-eligible David Green a transfer from Louisiana Tech who is averaging 15.6 ppg and 6.1 rpg in 10 games. Jaden House (14.6 ppg) has emerged as a go-to player but the defense has become the worst in the league at this point.

Was the 3-0 start simply a fluke? The next two games will be a nice test because they can climb back to the middle or solidify a spot in the bottom tier. Both games will be on the road, taking on GW and UMass.

11. George Washington Revolutionaries - 14-7 (3-5)

With two of the team’s first three games coming down to the final seconds, GW could’ve easily started 0-3 in the A-10. They’ve lost four straight now, with all of them coming by 8+ points, including a 21-point loss to Dayton. The defense has been the main issue, giving up 80+ points in each of those defeats.

The schedule eases up a bit this week, taking on Rhode Island and Loyola-Chicago at home. They’ll need more from leading scorer James Bishop, who has shot a combined 15/61 in the last four games. The Revolutionaries can’t win when he’s off from the field.
