8. George Mason Patriots - 15-7 (4-5)

It’s been rough on the road for the Patriots, having lost its last four games on the road, including a heartbreaking late-game scenario at UMass where Keyshawn Hall seemed to have lost track of the score. He had 25 points on 9/17 shooting and has been a breakout star in the A-10, averaging 17.2 ppg and 8.7 rpg after transferring over from UNLV.

3 of the next 4 games are at home for GMU, though two of them are against Loyola-Chicago and Dayton. The next two weeks will be key to see if this team can stay in the middle or take a step back in the league.

7. St. Joe’s Hawks - 15-7 (5-4)

After an 0-3 start in league play, the Hawks have since won 5 of the last 6 games, including beating La Salle and George Mason. That being said, four of those wins were essentially decided in the final minute and the games could’ve gone against them.

With five double-digit scores on the roster and a now-healthy Christ Essandoko at center, there’s enough talent for St. Joe’s to make a run up the conference ladder. But consistency, something that’s plagued them for a while, is key. They have home battles with Dayton and Saint Louis, with a chance to make a big statement on Tuesday.
