14. Fordham Rams

2023-24 season record: 13-20 (6-12)

After two “breakthrough” years as a program, the Rams took a step back toward the bottom of the league. And three of the top six scorers are gone, including leading scorer Kyle Rose, as well as Elijah Gray and Antrell Charlton.

On the bright side, Fordham has a couple of key seniors taking an extra year in starters Japhey Medor and Abdou Tsimbile. Plus, Will Richardson, who averaged 9.8 ppg in 17 starts, will be back for a larger role, along with two more rotation pieces in Romad Dean and Josh Rivera.

The question is does this roster have a chance to be better than last year’s group? That’s a hard sell to make, considering that they have just two incoming transfers. One is Matt Zona, who has a career average of 1.7 ppg in four years as a reserve at Notre Dame. The other is Jackie Johnson, who started out his career at Duquesne before spending the last two years at UNLV as a reserve.

Johnson could be the top scoring option for the Rams and they may need that to have enough offense to compete in the A-10. Plus, Richardson (33%) will need to be much more efficient from the field as well.
