Another season of college basketball came and went seemingly in the blink of an eye. In a similar manner, the very fabric of this sport seems to be changing right before our eyes. Not only has the Transfer Portal and NIT completely revolutionized recruiting but the recent round of conference realignment is beginning to make some of these conferences unrecognizable.

No matter how you slice it, it’s a unique time in college basketball, especially in the thick of Portal mania here in April. We don’t know what many of these rosters will look like in the coming weeks and months, though it’s clear that the coaching staffs across the nation are busy at work. There haven’t been games for nearly a month and won’t be more for half a year, but there’s no shortage of news in this game.

There’s plenty of news in the Big 12. The conference had several players stand out this season, several of whom have exhausted their eligibility or are pursuing the next level of basketball. Many have already been replaced, as the Big 12 has already landed some incredible transfers. This past season saw four new additions to the conference that mostly fit in remarkably well and similar changes are ahead for next season.

With Oklahoma and Texas off to the SEC, the conference instead adds Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah from the Pac-12. Today’s focus isn’t on the teams as a whole or even their offseason additions, but on the 16 coaches in this league. There have been a few new hires in recent weeks in a league that contains a few of the elite coaches in the sport right now. Let’s not waste any more time and run through each of them.
