While the actual games may have ended a few weeks ago, there’s no shortage of excitement and entertainment in the world of college basketball. We were just treated to another fantastic NCAA Tournament in March and early April, with Connecticut claiming their second-straight title. Now the eyes have turned towards next year, with the coaching carousel and Transfer Portal creating havoc across this sport.

The effect of NIL and the Transfer Portal on the sport seems to be an endless chaos, with thousands of basketball players changing schools or still figuring out their next moves. Entire rosters look unrecognizable, and we’re talking about power conference schools, not just the smaller or less significant colleges. Still, these massive changes don’t happen for the benefit of these schools without great coaching staffs putting in the work.

There is no shortage of those in the Big East, as the 11-team conference might boast the deepest pool of head coaches in the sport. As mentioned, Connecticut just won a second national title in a row while Creighton and Marquette are both in incredible shape. Other programs like Butler, Seton Hall, and Xavier recently hired great leaders while DePaul greatly boosted their own coaching position in recent weeks.

There are no changes among the members of the Big East; this league has not yet been affect by the current and rampant cycle of conference realignment. With just one change in mind, we’re going to be taking a closer look and ranking the current coaches in the Big East. As mentioned, there are both legends and highly successful coaches in this league, so let’s waste little time in diving into all of them.
