When it comes to the transfer portal, Big East Basketball is a big fan of acquiring veteran players through that method. And with the NIL era booming as it has been, this conference has been very active when it comes to its portal acquisitions and departures.

The competition has been stark, some teams like St. John's are looking to build a team through this portal and win it all, UConn on the other hand has players in-house but adds those finishing touches, and a team like Marquette prefers their homegrown method. So, every team has different strategies when it comes to approaching this newer version of the transfer portal, and considering UConn has won two National Championships, they have used it the best.

There are what fans in South Orange would call betrayals like that of Kadary Richmond, and others who are crossing the country from the PAC-12 to the Big East. This portal cycle has been interesting, to say the least, and this conference always provides that in the offseason.

But which teams came out on top? And which teams went out and got projects that may stick around and be great in the future? Or will those players find new life after not getting the playing time they may have deserved elsewhere? Big East Basketball's landscape will be much different next season, and you have the portal to thank for that. This is Big East Basketball, and it is time to dive into some of the top players who have entered the conference through the transfer portal.
