18. Jordan Burks (Georgetown)

If you are a program looking to rebuild and you can go grab a player entering his sophomore season from the Kentucky Wildcats, you go and do that, and Ed Cooley may have found something with Jordan Burks. The 6’8 soon-to-be sophomore from Decatur, Alabama shows shades of Bryce Hopkins when it comes to Cooley developing a player with this size and skill set.

The Hoyas need projects like him along with veteran players to build out this roster for next season and beyond, and Burks is one of those projects that will be harnessed in this program. He was not going to see much playing time next season, and that is usually not an issue when you are developed by a great coach in John Calipari, but he is obviously no longer the coach of Kentucky.

When it comes to player development though, Cooley is not a bad option either, to say the least, so Burks and Cooley should get along just fine. He has NBA talent, but it is up to this new program to find a way to put it all together and allow him to grow in a tough and physical conference. But with his size and athleticism, he will be just fine wherever he ends up in this lineup come the 2024-2025 season.

He has an explosive scoring ability that has been kept behind the depth of Kentucky, but at Georgetown, he will be able to show his great skillset in the Big East Conference. Going forward, he should be an outstanding player for this Hoyas program.
