8. Seton Hall Pirates

Coming off an NIT title, it was going to be interesting to see how the Pirates rebuilt their roster this offseason. Two starters (Jaden Bediako and Al-Amir Dawes) ran out of eligibility, while the team’s two best players (Kadary Richmond and Dre Davis), elected to enter the transfer portal.

That left Dylan Addae-Wusu (8.6 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2,2 apg), who also entered the portal himself earlier this offseason. The 6’4 guard decided to come back, which was huge for a program that needed a proven Big East performer. Joining him is someone also familiar with Big East Basketball in Garwey Dual, a transfer guard from Providence who struggled as a freshman but still has plenty of talent.

Another intriguing newcomer to Seton Hall is Zion Harmon, who years ago, was once a top-50 prospect. He dealt with personal issues but has since been a quality basketball player on the court, averaging 14.1 ppg and 3.4 apg at Bethune-Cookman. He’s long been viewed as a power conference player and could be a hidden gem for Coach Shaheen Halloway.

Other newcomers to the team include Prince Aligbe (BC), Scotty Middleton (Ohio State), and Gus Yalden (Wisconsin). These are all players viewed to have high ceilings and if any of them hit, Seton Hall could be a sneaky threat in conference next season. But replacing the likes of Richmond and Davis is going to be hard to do, no matter who they bring in.
