Nebraska Cornhuskers - Grade: A-

It’s been a busy offseason for Nebraska, who was able to maintain the momentum from getting back to the NCAA Tournament, adding several pieces via the portal. They lost both Keisei Tominaga and Josiah Allick to eligibility, along with multiple rotation pieces (Jamarques Lawrence and CJ Wilcher) to the portal.

The Cornhuskers landed six transfers, split between accomplished veterans and young breakout candidates. Rollie Worster (9.9 ppg and 5.5 apg) comes over from Utah as a possible starting point guard, while Andrew Morgan and Braxton Meah come in the frontcourt to replace Rienk Mast, who will sit out next season after suffering an offseason injury.

There are two Big Ten transfers joining in Gavin Griffiths and Connor Essegian, looking for larger roles at Nebraska. And forward Berke Buyuktuncel was a highly-regarded prospect at UCLA and a former top-50 player. If any of these guys have breakout campaigns, the Huskers will be in strong shape for next season.

You can’t publish the team for losing Mast but with Brice Williams and Juwan Gary returning, there’s plenty of depth and firepower to remain a postseason contender, even without Mast. Even compared to more notable programs in the conference, Nebraska truly had one of the top offseasons overall.
