Washington Huskies: The Great Osobor Show

Great Osobor, who reportedly signed a hefty $2 million NIL deal, has followed up the ranks with first-year Huskie head coach Danny Sprinkle. From Montana State to Utah State to Washington, the 2023-24 MWC POY was the catalyst to Utah State’s 28-win season, averaging a near double-double in 17.7 PPG and nine RPG.

The do-it-all big man is an excellent rim protector who crashes the boards and is efficient in the paint. According to Hoop Math, he shot 63.2% inside the charity stripe with 84.1% of his shots coming at the rim.

What makes Osobor even more remarkable of a player is that he can stretch behind the arc. He won’t shoot a lot of threes, however, the fact that he is willing to stretch along the perimeter makes him a menace to defend.

Entering the 2024-25 college basketball season, the storyline for Washington Huskies will be how far Great Osobor can take them. At the very least, Osobor will keep the Huskies competitive in their first year in the Big Ten.
