Indiana Hoosiers: The best team in the Big Ten?

Mike Woodson caught the heat amongst the Indiana Hoosier faithful last season after a disastrous 2023-24 campaign. Armed with a hefty sum of NIL resources, Woodson landed big-time portal additions with hopes of alleviating the growing angst in Bloomington.

And now he has the best team in the Big Ten? Well, that may very well be the case.

Incoming to Bloomington includes Myles Rice (Washington State), Oumar Ballo (Arizona), Kanaan Caryle (Stanford), Luke Goode (Illinois) and Langdon Hatton (Bellarmine). Its transfer portal class ranks second in the country, according to 24/7 Sports.

With key returners Mackenzie Mgbako and Malik Reneau -- who accounted for 38% of Indiana’s scoring last season -- in the fold, the Hoosiers, on paper, have solidified themselves as significant players in the Big Ten regular season title race.
