More than a week has passed since the ending to this year’s NCAA Tournament, giving us another championship for Connecticut. While the games cease for seven months, the excitement never quite stops in this sport and it will certainly be a busy offseason. Much of the national news has been on conference realignment, and it does affect many teams into next year, but that’s not all we’re talking about.

Recent days and weeks have been filled with news from both the Transfer Portal and the coaching carousel. Most of the head coach openings in the nation have been filled, though there are still restless weeks ahead for those coaches to fill their rosters. Today’s focus isn’t necessarily on that progress, but on where coaching currently stands in the Big Ten.

We’re just a week removed from Purdue advancing to the national championship game after making their first Final Four in more than forty years. The Boilermakers have been impressive in recent years, but they and their usual conference rivals will have some new faces to deal with into the future. Next season will see Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington join the Big Ten, abandoning the dissolving Pac-12.

As a result, we’re looking closely at 18 members in the Big Ten for the first time. We’ll be running through each of these school’s head coaches, with some brand new and others long since settled into their offices and campuses. With change on the horizon in this league, which of these coaches will stand out in the years to come?
