Big Ten Basketball: Ranking of top 20 incoming transfers for 2024-25 season
By Brad Schultz
12. Desmond Claude (USC)
2023-24 season at Xavier: 16.6 PPG | 4.2 RPG | 3.2 APG | 42.6 FG% | 23.9 3PT%
USC transfer Desmond Claude had a breakout sophomore season in 2023-24, earning Big East Most Improved Player of the Year honors. His scoring average jumped 12 points and he hit double figures in all but three games, including a 30-point showing against Georgia in the NIT. Claude is a terrific playmaker who can score at will but also create plays for his teammates in transition.
11. Saint Thomas (USC)
2023-24 season at Northern Colorado: 19.7 PPG | 9.8 RPG | 4.2 APG | 47.2 FG% | 33.0 3PT%
Saint Thomas's career has been filled with ups and downs, but the Omaha native has finally found a home with USC after a spectacular season at Northern Colorado where he led the Bears to 19 wins and a berth in the CBI. Thomas might not be the go-to option for the Trojans like he was for NCU but will present a difficult matchup for defenses due to his immense strength and willingness to pull the trigger from deep.
