14. USC Trojans

2023-24 season record: 15-18 (8-12 Pac-12)

Compared to preseason expectations, USC was one of the more disappointing teams in all of NCAA Basketball. Everyone who was a part of it has since left, including head coach, Andy Enfield. Freshman star Isaiah Collier is off to the NBA, while guys like Kobe Johnson and Bronny James entered the portal.

The Trojans did make a huge splash in the coaching carousel, hiring Eric Musselman from Arkansas. He brought with him two four-star wing prospects who were set to play for the Razorbacks in Isaiah Elohim and Jalen Shelley.

Musselman, known for his prolific use of the transfer portal, has already brought in seven players. In the backcourt are Bryce Pope (UC San Diego) and Clark Slajchert (Penn), both of whom coming off 18 ppg scoring seasons. Saint Thomas is a 6’7 forward from Northern Colorado who averaged over 20 ppg, while Matt Knowling, Rashaun Agee, and Joshua Cohen are all capable frontcourt players.

6’7 wing Chibuzo Agbo may be the most ready to compete in the Big Ten, coming over from Boise State. The concern is that all of these transfers are from the mid-major ranks and it can be a crapshoot as to which ones will be successful. We’ll see if he can land any power conference players in the coming weeks to round out the roster.
