Less than a month from now we will have the NCAA Tournament bracket. However, even less than four weeks out from that event, we still don’t know who exactly will be included in the field. This clearly means it’s that special time of year where bracketology becomes an oft-used buzzword in this sport.

The fight for inclusion in the Big Dance doesn’t start in February or even January. These teams have been fighting for position since the opening tip of the season. The most important games are happening in these coming weeks, but nobody can forget what’s come before. Resumes can be built or ruined in November, but any can be saved in February and March.

As per usual, there are a myriad of teams jockeying for position, hoping to snag those important at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament. Bracketology is simply an imperfect science. These teams all need to do the best they can to ensure their inclusion in the Big Dance, and many of those bubble teams have work to do in these last four weeks.

Today we’re presenting our weekly update on the bubble and where exactly a long list of bubble teams currently stand. This piece isn’t about comparing rosters or nitpicking at schedules; we’re looking at metrics and records and anticipating what the future holds for these teams. We’ll be running through more than two dozen resumes of bubble teams, so let’s get right into the action.
