No. 4 Arizona Wildcats - More minutes for Motiejus Krivas

In a weekend full of must-see matchups, the headliner was a top-3 game between Arizona and Purdue. The Wildcats were knocked from the ranks of the unbeatens by the Boilermakers. Not a lot has gone wrong for Tommy Lloyd and his team so far this season, but if they have aspirations of cutting down the nets there are some things they could use. One of those things is more significant minutes from their center depth.

Oumar Ballo has been great for the Wildcats, but this gift is more about preparing them for the season moving forward. It would be of great benefit to Arizona if they could get a few more minutes per game out of big man Motiejus Krivas.

At first blush, this might seem silly given how well Ballo and the Wildcats have played, but doing this serves a couple of purposes, keeping Ballo even fresher heading into postseason play, as well as giving them assurances they can count on Krivas if Ballo misses time or gets into foul trouble.

After the loss to Purdue, Ballo is playing eight minutes more per game than Krivas, but this gift is more about Krivas and getting him more minutes to give him and the team confidence because if they want to win a national title there is going to come a time when Ballo is unavailable and Krivas will need to step up more than he has so far.
