No. 2 Houston (23-3, 10-3 in Big 12) at No. 11 Baylor (19-7, 8-5 in Big 12), Saturday, February 24, 12:00 PM ET, CBS

There's a big Texas battle on Saturday afternoon when No. 2 Houston travels to Waco to take on No. 11 Baylor. The visiting cougars have been the king of the metrics mountain most of the season, ranking 1st in NET, with a metric average of 2 and none of the four metrics sitting lower than 3rd.

Because of that, Houston is firmly entrenched in the top-seed line, but since the beginning of league play a hole in their resume was winning on the road on league play with all three losses coming to league foes away from home. Since then, they have remedied that by winning at BYU, Texas, and Cincinnati, but this will be their biggest road test to date. Games like this will also prepare the Cougars for their first Big 12 tournament in a few weeks.

Baylor is one of a handful of Big 12 teams hovering around the 7-10 overall seed range. After losing to BYU on the road and missing a chance for another road win leaving their record at 3-4. The Bears are now two games behind the Cougars for first place in the conference. Following Houston's win over Iowa State on Monday, a Baylor win here likely puts them back in the conversation for a No. 2 seed and would improve greatly a resume average that is already at 12.75 and a strength of record ranking that is 12th.

Add to that a 10-7 record over the first two quads that could use another big-time win to go with the wins over Auburn and Iowa State. For Baylor, this is the biggest game left on their schedule to amplify their resume and stake their claim to a potential Big 12 title.
