In less than three weeks we will have the NCAA Tournament bracket. The culmination of a great season of college basketball will be the great postseason event of March Madness, but we’re not quite there yet. In these last few weeks before we enjoy all of that madness we’re still trying to figure out just exactly who will be included in the field; who will be up for that honor.

Only 68 teams get the privilege of an invitation to the Dance, though nearly half of those will be awarded in the conference tournaments to come. The other bids are obviously at-large invitations cast upon the best of the best in this sport; those teams that missed out on their league tournaments but still earn their chance to dance.

Most leagues have two weeks of regular season play remaining while several only have one week left. Clearly, the regular season is drawing rapidly to a close, leaving us to consider all we’ve seen since the season began in early November. Teams have played their way into or out of NCAA Tournament consideration nearly every day this season, though the games feel more vital as we draw closer to March.

Bracketology is no easy quest, and selecting and seeding the 68 teams can be a nightmare for the Selection Committee. Today, we’ll be looking at some teams that have been trying to make that less of a nightmare. These are teams we consider winners based on their last week of the game. Some of these teams are vying for inclusion on the bubble while others work to improve their own standing on the seed lines. Without wasting any more time, let’s get right into this week’s winners.
