Tre White is the most recent offseason addition for Coach Underwood and Illinois, as he will join Jake Davis as a newcomer to the program in 2024-2025. The 6-foot-7 guard is coming off a nice season where his numbers stood at 12 points, six rebounds, and two assists per game. All a nice add-on to the efficient 46 percent shooting from the field. However, with a relatively lower number behind the arc of 30 percent, there's always still room for growth nonetheless.

To begin his college career, White began at USC in the Pac-12, where he played 33 games, starting in 29 of them. At the end of the year, the guard racked up nine points, five rebounds, and one assist while getting 27 minutes of game action.

The commitment came about this past April 9th, per Joe Tipton.

White is a great finisher around the rim and can get downhill, blowing by his defender with quickness. Besides his ability to slash, he can spot up, create his shot with a few dribbles, and knock down a jumper from mid-range or three. A dynamic player who can play coming off a screen or straight-up bully whoever is in front of him.

His home and road splits were unique, oftentimes scoring more away from home, as shown by his 16 points, seven rebounds, and two assists per game that he averaged. On the other hand, while playing in the KFC Yum Center, he accounted for 11 points, five rebounds, and one assist.

White's season-high came against Clemson earlier this year, on January 30th, on the road versus Clemson. He dropped 29 points, 14 rebounds, and handed out two assists in the process.
