2. Marquette's struggles continue

Marquette only had one game over the week after their loss to Seton Hall last Saturday, but their losing ways continued with a loss to the Butler Bulldogs. This team that won the Big East Tournament last year now has matched their total of Big East losses from last season with three. They have a tough matchup against Marquette as they look to avoid back-to-back home losses and three in a row which would be pure panic mode for the Golden Eagles.

Tyler Kolek has not shot the ball well over the past few games, and against Butler, he only had two points the entire game. As the leader of the offense, this team is not going to win a ton when their star is not having the year you expected out of him. Fortunately for this team, they have one of the better home advantages in the country, and the talent is still there for them on this roster.

Superstars respond after stretches like this, and we will see if Kolek can live up to that label over the next few games. They have a road matchup against St. John's on Saturday as well, so these next two games are great opportunities to get back on track.
