The Dusty May era is underway in Ann Arbor and the Wolverines will have a new look from top to bottom for the 2024-25 campaign. Michigan is coming off a historically bad 2023-24 season that saw them post an 8-24 (3-17 Big Ten) record that saw them finish last place in the Big Ten and marked the most losses in a single season in program history. But Michigan looks poised to turn things around quickly after firing head coach Juwan Howard and hiring Florida Atlantic's Dusty May shortly after the season ended.

The Wolverines will also have a revamped roster for the 2024-25 season, with several high-profile incoming transfers and recruits, along with a few members from last year's team. Michigan's transfer class is highlighted by former Ohio State guard Roddy Gayle Jr. and Florida Atlantic big man Vladislav Goldin, who followed coach May to Ann Arbor.

Along with these two, the Wolverines have landed several other transfers, including Tre Donaldson (Auburn), Rubin Jones (North Texas), Charlie May (UCF), Sam Walters (Alabama), and Danny Wolf (Yale). Along with these incoming transfers, Michigan is set to add four freshmen guards in L.J. Cason, Phat Phat Brooks, Justin Pippen, and Howard Eisley Jr. But there will be some familiar faces returning as well, with Nimari Burnett, Will Tschetter, Jace Howard, Harrison Hochberg, and Ian Burns all set to return this year.

The influx of incoming talent, along with new faces will make Michigan one of the more intriguing teams entering the 2024-25 season. It will be crucial for all of the new faces to find chemistry on the court ahead of the season, and should they find that, the Wolverines should find themselves near the top of the Big Ten come March.
