It was an incredibly rough past season for Michigan Basketball, finishing 8-24 overall. That included five losses in non-con play, to teams such as Long Beach State and McNeese State. After a complete rebuild, the Wolverines are back with a confirmed non-con schedule for the 2024-25 campaign.

One of the 11 games includes South Carolina or Xavier in the Fort Myers Tip-Off. Either one will be a top game to watch for the program but there are some other marquee matchups for Michigan as well. Here's a ranking of the top four games to watch.

4. Oklahoma Sooners (Jumpman Invitational)

The Sooners are entering its first year in the SEC and a completely revamped roster to go with it. The top newcomers to watch includes Duke Miles (17.5 ppg at High Point), former St. John's forward Glenn Taylor. and Jeremiah Fears, a four-star point guard prospect and former Illinois commit. It's a rebuilding team that still has high-major talent in this neutral site matchup that Michigan will need to win.

3. TCU Horned Frogs

Coach Jamie Dixon has a new-look roster, including multiple high-level mid-major transfers. Noah Reynolds averaged 20 ppg at Green Bay, while Trazarien White put up 20 ppg in UNC Wilimington's frontcourt. Former ASU point guard Frankie Collins is a proven high-major talent and someone that can run the offense. Depending on how well the mid-major guys transition moving up, the Frogs could be a sneaky contender in the Big 12.

2. at Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Wake Forest returns one of the best guards in the country in Hunter Sallis, who put up 18 ppg in his first year with the program. Double-digit scorer Cameron Hildreth is back, along with starting center, Efton Reid. The ceiling for the Deacons will depend on the group of freshmen transfers, including former Louisville guard Ty-Laur Johnson and former 5-star prospect and ISU forward, Omaha Biliew. If they break out, Wake Forest could be a top-25 team.

1. Arkansas Razorbacks (Jimmy V Classic)

It's been a very busy offseason for Arkansas, going from Coach Eric Mussleman to John Calipari. He brought with him a few former Kentucky players, including guard DJ Wagner, forward Adou Thiero, and center Zvonimir Ivisic. 5-star freshman guard Boogie Fland joins the team, along with top-tier transfers, Johnell Davis, and Jonas Aidoo.

There very well will be some growing pains with the Razorbacks and it could be an opportunity for Michigan to take advantage before they fully gel. But from a talent perspective, they'll be the toughest non-Big Ten team that the Wolverines will be dealing with.
