3. (33) Milwaukee Bucks - Baylor Scheierman, W, Creighton

This could be the steal of the draft, as Scheierman is a dribble, pass, shoot wing and the Bucks need the depth. Scheierman should be able to be a contributor for the Bucks early in his rookie year and help them as a contender. Scheierman will be 24 years old by opening night, so there’s a lack of perceived upside, but he’s already a high-level caliber player who shouldn’t fall this far because of how high the floor is.

4. (34) Portland Trailblazers - Justin Edwards, W, Kentucky

Edwards was a highly coveted 5-star prospect going into his freshman year at Kentucky. There was even a point where he was a projected top five pick in this class. The Trailblazers already addressed their shooting with both the 7th and 14th pick in the draft, so here is an upside swing for them. If Edwards shows he can compete offensively and improve his shotmaking, there’s a perception that he’ll have an excellent combination of skill and intangibles

5. (35) San Antonio Spurs - Johnny Furphy, W, Kansas

Furphy received a green room invite so it’s anticipated that he’ll be a first round pick. However, in this scenario he falls into the Spurs lap. Last season, the Spurs were 28th in the league in 3P%, so that’s an area that clearly needs to improve around Victor Wembanyama. Furphy is one of the most polarizing shooters in this class and he can space the floor alongside Wemby, Devin Vassell, Jeremy Sochan, and Co. There’s also a strong possibility San Antonio views Furphy as the best player available this late in the draft.

6. (36) Indiana Pacers - Nikola Djurisic, W, Serbia

Indiana typically covets players who can keep the ball in the flow of an offense and play a five-out style. As a result, here they’d ideally want a player who can both shoot and pass. Bring in Djurisic. The Pacers are loaded at forward with Pascal Siakam, restricted free agent, Obi Toppin, as well as last year’s #9 pick, Jarace Walker. Additionally, the Pacers have more ball handlers than they know what to do with in Tyrese Haliburton, Andrew Nembhard, and TJ McConnell. As a result, Djurisic seems like a great fit for the Pacers system who also won’t take the ball out of one of the guard’s hands; however, Djurisic is more than capable of a ball handler and playmaker as well.
