There has been a lot of talk concerning the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft and the prospects. We’re also right at the deadline for college players to decided whether they’re staying in the draft or leaving. Focusing on the American-born players, a good case can be made that the most notable prospect in the class is someone who might not even be drafted in Bronny James.

Bronny, son of NBA superstar and all-time basketball great LeBron James, is a former top-40 prospect out of high school who committed to the USC Trojans. His career and health were in jeopardy a year ago when he reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest in practice. James missed a few weeks into the season but ultimately made his debut for USC, playing 25 games in 19 mpg off the bench.

There certainly were ups and downs, with the 6’3 guard averaging 4.8 ppg and 2.1 apg, shooting 37% from the field and 27% from three-point range. James had a trio of double-digit scoring games, including 15 points vs Oregon State. After USC HC Andy Enfield left for SMU, James entered both the transfer portal and the NBA Draft.

Realistically, James’ production doesn’t warrant being a draft pick but there are obvious unique circumstances, considering who he is. And to his defense, a solid NBA Draft Combine performance has seen him move up the draft boards, giving him a real chance to get drafted.

With LeBron potentially a free agent in the next month, there’s a chance that the father-son duo could play together next season. Looking at the possible options, here’s a list of four teams that would be the best fit for Bronny James.
