4. Miami Heat

LeBron has won a title with three different franchises but his first one came in Miami, where he credits the culture for helping him grow as a player and person. The two main pieces are still around in head coach Erik Spoelstra and President, Pat Riley. Even without James, they’ve remained a consistent winning team, including a recent trip to the NBA Finals a year ago.

It’s the one team outside of Los Angeles where LeBron has the connections to see how Bronny is developing. Plus, the Heat has a great history of developing prospects outside of the lottery into capable future NBA role players. With Jimmy Butler possibly leaving and guards Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro being possible trade targets, Miami could be in the market for some new guards in the franchise’s next era.

3. Phoenix Suns

It’s already well-known that the Suns are interested in Bronny, possibly with its first-round pick. This is a franchise that has Devin Booker and Kevin Durant but not much else, including cap space. So this is a spot where Bronny could actually find a possible role with how little of a bench they have with a need for perimeter defenders, it’s the one playoff team that could genuinely use him.

Now, the grand plan for Phoenix could be to draft Bronny James and somehow convince his father to sign as a free agent. But unless they found a way to trade Bradley Beal and his awful contract, there wouldn’t be any room for LeBron. Still, with very limited options to improve the roster as is, taking this chance could be what the franchise needs to get one more piece to contend.
