4th overall: San Antonio Spurs - G, Reed Sheppard, Kentucky

The San Antonio Spurs are in a very unique position heading into June 26th. They hold two top-ten picks, the 4th and 8th overall, and they could go in many different directions, but at four, if Reed Sheppard is available, they can select one of, if not the best offensive talent in this draft.

Sheppard would give San Antonio a serious offensive threat at one of the two guard positions, which they have not had consistently over the last few seasons. San Antonio could then use the 8th pick on a wing that can play both sides of the ball, like Stephon Castle, Cody Williams, or Ron Holland.

Sheppard came off the bench at Kentucky in a similar role that Devin Booker had when he was with the Wildcats. He averaged 12.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists on 53.6% shooting from the field. Sheppard checks all the boxes as a scorer and would be a great outlet alongside Victor Wembenyama.
