NBA Draft 2024: Top 3 options for Brooklyn Nets to consider targeting
There may be no tougher team to discuss in regards to the 2024 NBA Draft than the Brooklyn Nets. That's what happens when you go into the stretch run towards the event with a grand total of zero picks available.
Unless Brooklyn trades into the draft, they won't be selecting any prospects this year, instead waiting on the sidelines until the undrafted free agent market emerges. But this is the NBA, where trades occur as often as embarrassing moments on the arena kiss cam.
Odds are decent that the Nets will find themselves with at least one pick by the time the draft ends. While it's hard to envision that pick coming particularly early on - unless the Nets dangle Mikal Bridges - a late first-round pick or a second-rounder seem more than possible.
Who are some of the top targets for the Brooklyn Nets in the 2024 NBA Draft?
The Nets can certainly use an infusion of young talent. There were moments of hope this season with Bridges and Nic Claxton and Cam Thomas, but generally, it's unclear what direction this franchise is going in right now. The constant injury woes of Ben Simmons aren't bringing any clarity, either.
Two of the Nets' picks last year found solid ways of contributing this season, with Noah Clowney and Jalen Wilson both finding their way into the rotation at times. Dariq Whitehead only played in two games at the NBA level before needing season-ending shin surgery, so he's a de facto rookie next season.
Here are three players the Nets should target in this year's draft.
