1. PG, Isaiah Collier, USC

One of the most intriguing players that the Los Angeles Lakers could jump on at 17 is USC guard Isaiah Collier. Collier had a very solid freshman season, however, overshadowed by the team's minimal success. He remained one of the few bright spots that led the way for the Trojans.

Collier is a combo guard with key playmaking attributes, Collier averaged 16.3 points, 4.3 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals on 49.0% shooting from the field and 33.8% from three.

Upside-wise, there aren't many in this draft with more than him. He was the number one ranked prospect coming out of the class of 2023, was a McDonald’s All-American, and was a finalist for Naismith Boys High School Player of the Year. Overall, this is a great option for Rob Pelinka and the Lakers with the 17th overall pick.
