Josh Schertz - Saint Louis Billikens

A hot name in the 2024 coaching carousel, Schertz caught the college basketball world by storm, leading Indiana State to a 32-7 (17-3) record while constructing one of the more efficient and dynamic offenses in college basketball. At South Dakota State, Nagy won over 400 games in 21 years, taking the Jackrabbits to three NCAA Tournament appearances in three of his final five years in Brookings.

Since Nagy left, South Dakota State has remained successful, appearing in four more NCAA Tournaments with zero seasons under .500. In his eight years at Wright State, Nagy has led the Raiders to two NCAA Tournament appearances with zero seasons under .500. Marked as a consistent winner, there is plenty of reason to believe Nagy can lift Southern Illinois over the hump and back into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007.
