Florida, Kansas State, Gonzaga among bubble losers

It was close but it wasn't close enough as Todd Golden’s Florida Gators fell 67-66 to Texas A&M in College Station on Saturday.

Although Florida collected a pivotal road win at Kentucky last Tuesday, the Gator's resume falls short in terms of quality wins as that win marked their only Q1 win of the year. A win in College Station would have helped but the Gators still have a minimum of four Q1 opportunities left on the schedule.

Another bubble loser was Kansas State, who fell 75-72 at Oklahoma State, dropping their fourth-straight game. The metrics don’t love Tang’s group this year as their NET Ranking is just a mere 83. With only one Q1 win on their schedule, the Wildcats have work to do to be on the right side of the bubble come Selection Sunday.

Last but not least, Gonzaga failed to collect their first Q1 win over the year after falling to Saint Mary’s at home last night. The metrics are still favorable on the Zags but without a Q1 win on the resume, it’s a tough hill to climb for Mark Few’s group.
