Oregon Ducks

With no more Pac-12, Ballo is going to have to play in a new conference anyway. One option could be the Big Ten, which will be the new home for Oregon, arguably the toughest opponent for Arizona since Ballo arrived. They had one of the best centers in the country this past season in N’Faly Dante but he’s out of eligibility now.

The current roster for the Ducks inside is only Nathan Bittle, who has dealt with injuries in the past. They’re going to look to get a prized big man and Ballo would be a top option. And again, the familiarity aspect could be something that helps out in a potential recruitment.

North Carolina Tar Heels

The Tar Heels know all about great play at center, having All-American Armando Bacot for the last five years. He’s finally run out of eligibility, while James Okonkwo has entered the portal. That leaves the current options on the roster being Jalen Washington, Zayden High (who may be more forwards than centers), along with four-star incoming freshman, James Brown.

Look for UNC to try and get another key big man and they still can win-big next season, assuming All-American and ACC Player of the Year RJ Davis is coming back for a 5th-year. They’d be a Final Four contender once again if they could get someone like Ballo, who’d be a defensive upgrade over Bacot and nearly the same kind of rebounder.
