6. Oregon Ducks

The top two players for the Ducks (Jermaine Couisnard and N’Faly Dante) are gone, while multiple role players elected to hit the portal. But with the return of the sophomore trio of Jackson Shelstad, Kwame Evans, and Mookie Cook, there’s hope that the team can have a big first year in the Big Ten.

It’ll depend on the four-man transfer class and how successful they’ll be. TJ Bamba is a 6’5 guard from Villanova whose stats took a dip compared to the prior year when he was at Washington State. But he’s an effective scorer who can complement Shelstad in the backcourt.

Ra’Heim Moss is another guard joining Oregon, coming off averaging 15.4 ppg and 5.4 rpg at Toledo. The 6’4 guard also dished out three assists a game, as well as earning All-MAC honors so look for Moss to impact the game in multiple ways for the Ducks.

Replacing Dante in the frontcourt is a pair of starting forwards with different specialties. Brandon Angel averaged 13.0 ppg at Stanford, shooting an efficient 57% from the field and 45% from deep while Supreme Cook is a 6’9 forward from Georgetown, who produced 10.5 ppg and 8.0 rpg and plays a traditional post-up game. These pieces don’t stand out individually but collectively, the Ducks did well in the portal.
