2. Established success and the chance at a three-peat

When it comes to winning, there is no better destination for Hurley than UConn at the current moment. This team is coming off back-to-back National Championships and tons of success in recruiting and the portal over the past few years. Now, Hurley has a championship pedigree to advertise himself with, and this program has an opportunity to be a national dynasty if they can win another one.

While the Big East Conference in terms of finances is not the BIG 12, there is still a significance to the conference, and its respect had tons of weight in recruiting. If players want to win, they will play for Hurley, and that was seen in the returnees for UConn next year.

UConn does not have the same talent as they did in years past, but they still have a good group that has a chance to win it all yet again. Hurley has decided to stick with one of the best five jobs in the country and can keep this train rolling.

While the Lakers are arguably the most iconic and recognizable organization in basketball, UConn is now approaching that level of allure and respect, and Hurley could be the coach to bring this program even further.

Legacy is important for coaches, and you do not need the NBA to build yourself a great one, so Hurley is going to be just fine when it comes to his respect, and he avoids a jump to professional basketball that has derailed many coaching careers.
