Arkansas Razorbacks

Roach had arguably his best game against Arkansas this past season but they’ll be completely different going forward, with Coach John Calipari taking over. Right now, he has one scholarship player on the roster in former Kentucky center, Zvonimir Ivisic. They have no guards right now so will need to start adding some.

Among the former Kentucky players who could transfer over, freshman transfer DJ Wagner is the only one who can be a reasonable option. If he were to commit, pairing him with Roach would be a solid backcourt duo, allowing the former Blue Devil to play more on-ball.

Kentucky Wildcats

Coach Calipari’s old team is also completely rebuilding, with Mark Pope taking over from BYU. They recently landed top-40 prospect and former Cougar guard commit, Collin Chandler, a shooting guard. Assuming that Reed Sheppard ultimately enters the NBA Draft, the Wildcats will need a new ball-handler to run the offense.

Dating back to his days at Utah Valley and BYU, Coach Pope has a good history with developing point guards. Dallin Hall went from average in the WCC to one of the top PGs in the Big 12 this past season and Jaxson Robinson developed into an NBA Draft prospect since transferring over. Roach would be the most talented guard Pope has had and would be a great veteran option in his first year in the SEC.
