Oregon Ducks

One of the top players in the NCAA Tournament so far has been N’Faly Dante, a 5th-year senior center for Oregon. He’s leaving after this season, leaving the Ducks without options in the frontcourt for the future, outside of backup big man, Nathan Bittle.

Oregon and Coach Dana Altman is one of the more prevalent participants in the transfer portal and they’ll definitely look for a big man. Omoruyi is one of the top options at center right now and he’d technically still be a Big Ten player next year, thanks to conference realignment.

St. John’s Red Storm

When Omoruyi announced his intentions to enter the portal, St. John’s was viewed as a top-tier option. They’re local in the New York area and have a Hall of Fame head coach in Rick Pitino. Plus, they’re losing starting center Joel Soriano this season.

That leaves them with backup big man Zuby Ejiofor and four-star class of 2024 commit Khaman Maker. Is that good enough to leave as is? If not, Omoruyi would be a nice replacement for Soriano and a big upgrade on the defensive end. More importantly, the big man wouldn’t have to move much at all to his new stop.
