We near the crowning moment of the NCAA basketball season and the calendar now reads March. The glamor and heartbreak of March Madness is right around the corner and a lot will be understood and determined in the coming weeks. We’ve seen nearly four months of regular season games, but everything in this sport comes to a head here and now.

These last few weeks have already been filled of bracket talk as bracketologists argue over who deserves a slot in the Big Dance. Selection Sunday won’t answer those questions for two more weeks, though we already have some idea of who belongs at the top of the bracket and who might not belong in the field. These four months of play have made that evident, though we continue to learn new things each passing week.

While many will be enamored by Cinderella stories, breakout performances, and wild upsets in a few weeks, our focus is still on the best teams. We’ll learn the names of conference champions in the coming weeks, but how many of those teams really have a shot to cut down the nets this season? There’s no shortage of excitement all over this sport, but the eyes will be on the strongest teams in the nation and that’s today’s focus once again.

We’ll be updating our weekly Top 25 after another wild week of games. It’s important to remember that these types of rankings are dynamic. There are twenty-five great programs listed today, but several others have and continue to shine as well. Any of these teams could make their mark during March. We’re just presenting and diving into these teams currently topping our rankings and wondering how long they’ll stay afloat. Let’s get right to those rankings.
