10. Creighton (22-8)

Less than two weeks ago, Creighton delivered a major shocker when they beat Connecticut by 19 points. As things have seemed to go this season, the Bluejays then lost to St. John’s in their latest disappointing performance. This team could easily have less than eight losses and be considered more of a national contender and they proved that this week.

A month removed from a triple-overtime thriller against Seton Hall, Creighton made much quicker work of the Pirates in an 85-64 win. Ryan Kalkbrenner had 23 points while Baylor Scheierman added 20 points and 11 rebounds. Saturday’s win felt even greater, as the Bluejays won 89-75 at home over Marquette. They took advantage of a short-handed Golden Eagles squad, getting 26 points and 16 rebounds from Scheierman in the victory.

Creighton has the talent to pull off another deep run in the NCAA Tournament, having advanced to the Elite Eight with a slightly different lineup last season. They’ve shown in recent weeks that they can beat top teams at home, though we’ll have to see how they can fare at those neutral-sites in the Big Dance. Things are trending up at Creighton and they’ll finish their regular season next Saturday at Villanova.
