24. Nevada (24-6)

The Wolf Pack snuck into last season’s NCAA Tournament and might just be repeating the feat again this year, already boasting 24 wins in a successful season. They got off to a 15-1 start and have regained some of that early momentum here in recent weeks despite a rough patch earlier in conference play. Is something special brewing in Reno?

Something special certainly brewed on Tuesday night, as the Wolf Pack won at Colorado State in a 77-74 thriller. Not only did Jared Lucas have 23 points and 7 rebounds but he hit the game-winning shot at the buzzer. After that incredible and important win, Nevada was back in action on Friday and won again, beating Fresno State 74-66 back in Reno. Lucas led the charge again with 21 points while Nick Davidson added 19 points and 6 rebounds.

Nevada has now won five straight games and their only loss in February was by a single point against New Mexico. The Wolf Pack are playing their best basketball at the right time of year and have a roster that can do damage if given the right chance in the postseason. They might need a little bit of that magic at Boise State next week before their regular season ends at home against UNLV.
